BTHS PA Frequently asked questions
- 01
Students meet with their guidance counselors every year to discuss their trajectory from their first year at Tech to selecting a major at the end of their sophomore year to planning for college junior and senior years.
- 02
Students have access to their counselors and their college advisors for this trajectory. We don't have IB at our school but students can receive help in picking their AP classes. This is also the case for dual enrollment where it applies. Ms. Chang is our CTE coordinator who is well versed in internships as well. Internships are advertised in the daily announcements every week. We do not currently have a non-CTE coordinator. Mr. Newman is working on that. However, the Alumni Association has been very supportive on that front and frequently send us opportunities that I send to the counselors. They can then share that with their students on their caseload.

Assistant Principals handle this process for each department and update the school website accordingly. If there are any questions or information missing, please reach out to that Assistant Principal.

In these cases, tutoring and office hours are available for students. This is communicated by counselors and teachers in the classroom. The schedule is also listed on the school website. NHS also offers peer-to-peer tutoring, which is advertised in the daily announcements.
