ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our Spring Gala is one of the moments our Brooklyn Tech family shines brightest — and it all starts with you.

This October 6–7 is Prime Big Deal Days, and we’re asking our BTHS families to consider purchasing just one item from our Gala Wishlist. Each individual gift may seem small, but when we bring them together, they become the beautiful raffle baskets that will be part of our BTHS Gala on April 16, 2027, at Dyker Beach Golf Course.

When you give, you're not just shopping for a sale — you're adding your piece to something we're creating side by side, for our kids. Link below!

Calling our student artists: Encourage your student to enter the Lunar New Year T-Shirt Design Competition. We can’t wait to see their ideas for the Year of the Goat. Entries are due October 23. Please see below for details.

Because of your generosity, we raised almost $33K for our annual appeal in the month of September. This brings our year-to-date annual appeal total to 12% of our annual appeal target. This helps our students thrive—both academically and beyond. Your donation directly funds:

📘 Crucial academic support and enrichment programs
🏈 Diverse extracurricular activities
💡 Resources that expand opportunities for every student

Tonight, the PA kicked off our Breakfast & Dinner with Principal Newman series with a dinner at Brooklyn Tech. Parents and guardians had the chance to hear directly from Principal Newman, ask questions, and connect in a smaller, more informal setting. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a great start to the series!

Sign up to attend one while there's still space! Link below.

The Brooklyn Tech Parent Association was happy to sponsor the first annual Freshman Ice Cream Social, giving our newest students a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy a sweet start to the school year. Thanks to the generous support of our families, the PA is able to help make events like this possible.

A big thank you to the parents who volunteered at our first in-person PA General Meeting of the year, helping with sign-in, selling Brooklyn Tech merch, and making everyone feel welcome. It was great to come together, enjoy some pizza, pick up a little school spirit, and kick off the year feeling informed, connected, and involved. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the evening a success!

Dear Brooklyn Tech Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! We’re so happy to welcome our new families to the Brooklyn Tech community and to say welcome back to our returning families. We hope everyone had a wonderful summer and that your students are settling into the new school year.

As a Brooklyn Tech parent or guardian, you are automatically a member of the Parents Association (PA), and we hope you’ll stay connected and get involved throughout the year. Take a moment to get to know your PA Executive Board. We’re fellow Brooklyn Tech parents; we’re here to support our families, and we look forward to working together to make this a great year for our school community.

Be sure to check your email regularly for PA news, events, resources, and other important updates. Our weekly newsletter, TechTalk, is sent every Tuesday while school is in session.

The Brooklyn Tech Parent Association was so excited to once again provide planners for every incoming student, as we do each year. More than 1,000 planners were distributed to help students stay organized and start the school year off strong. Thank you to our families for helping make traditions like this possible!

The Parent Association (PA) is kindly asking for your generous support to help our students thrive—both academically and beyond. Your donation directly funds:

📘 Crucial academic support and enrichment programs
🏈 Diverse extracurricular activities
💡 Resources that expand opportunities for every student

Please help us achieve the target by making a donation today. Your donation makes a profound impact on our students. It is not just about numbers; it is about inspiration and opportunities for the entire Brooklyn Tech community.
