Message from the PA Presidents
Dear Brooklyn Tech Families,
We hope that you all had a wonderful summer! We would like to welcome all of our new families and welcome back all returning families. For those just joining us, we are Mia Lu, who is thrilled to continue serving as your PA Co-President, and new PA Co-President, Tiffany Roberts, a Brooklyn Tech alum who is excited to serve her alma mater in this capacity.
Brooklyn Tech is a special place. Our high school continues to be ranked among the top in the country, offering rigorous academics, unique majors to upperclassmen, hundreds of clubs, a robust music program, and city and state championship sports teams. As our children embark on the 2023-2024 school year, they will be challenged to reach their fullest potential, encouraged to explore intellectual curiosities, and inspired to develop their gifts and talents. Graduates are prepared for college and beyond, joining a list of stellar and notable alumni who occupy leadership roles in various professions.
None of this would be possible without the guidance of Principal David Newman, his team of hard-working staff and outstanding faculty, and, of course, you! The Brooklyn Tech community depends on support from parents. You all play an essential role in your children’s educational journey.
The PA’s goal is to represent and advocate for families while enhancing the partnership between parents and staff to help each child succeed. All parents automatically become Brooklyn Tech PA members when their child enrolls; each parent has an equal voting right in PA elections. We are looking to expand our Executive Board with freshmen parent representatives and build a volunteer team, so stay tuned! In the meantime, we invite you to explore our website, brooklyntechpa.org, and encourage you to read TechTalk, the PA’s weekly newsletter, for useful information.
