Jupiter is mostly used by teachers for reporting test grades, homework grades, and communication with parents.
Naviance was the college research application tool used by school. Starting the Spring of 2025, all students have started using Overgrad instead.
Overgrad is the new online website that all Brooklyn Tech students use through out their college application process to assist with their college search and application.
Common App is the website that all US students use through the college application process for to apply to colleges. (This is where students complete and submit their college applications)
College Board is where all students use to register for standardize testing including PSAT, SAT, etc. that are not offered at the school.
Parent Teacher Conference (PTC) Wizard is the web tool used by school to assist with scheduling parent teacher conferences during the BT Parent Teacher Conference week.

Missing attendance or tardy message received via Jupiter is not the same as missing attendance or tardy to school. Those message is an indication that the child might be late to class or missing to those specific class for the tracking purposes the child in time of emergency. Your child may be still on school premise attending to academic or extracurricular activities.
Homework grades or test grades tracked on Jupiter may all not up to date. Teachers update the information in Jupiter in a timely fashion. Please use the Message portal in Jupiter to communicate with the teacher for any missing or discrepant information.

Overgrad is the new web tool that Brooklyn Tech students (starting Class 2026) use through out the college application for researching colleges.
To get access to Overgrad, please sign-up to attend College Night for your respective year by contacting your College Counselor (not the Guidance Counselor)
Signing up to attend college rep visits to Tech
Researching colleges (e.g. what grades and test scores have past applicants from Tech needed to be accepted at a particular college)
Sending their grades and recommendations to colleges
Upon attending the College Night for each grade, 10th-12th grade students will have access to Overgrad. (Username=DOE email; Password=OSIS number). 9th graders will be given access later in the year.
Parents of 10-12th graders can get Overgrad access through their Gmail.

Log into overgrad.com to start your college search experience. If a family has multiple children at Brooklyn Tech HS, each child's account can be mapped to the same Gmail account.
