The specifics of how Brooklyn Tech will handle this with 6,000 students are still being determined. The ban covers personal devices that connect to the internet, including personal laptops, tablets, and smartwatches. School-issued devices are exempt.

A Texas Instruments graphing calculator (TI-84 Plus or similar) is recommended. While pricey, they last throughout high school (4+ years). Sometimes Tech seniors donate their calculators before graduation.

Students don't need many supplies - notebooks, DDP engineering book, pens/pencils/highlighters, and folders. Only geometry and DDP (Design and Drawing for Production) have specific supply requirements. It's best to wait until school starts to get supplies as teacher requirements vary. Binders are not recommended.
